Walkway
The square in front of the Rotterdam Market Hall has been transformed in 2015, commissioned by the City of Rotterdam. A walkway has been constructed to cross over the deepened bicycle shed, which connects the Blaak with the market. A telescopic crane with a lifting capacity of 400 tons was needed to get the 30-tonne bridge in place. The bridge was finished with natural stone pavement afterwards.
